Registered Nurse – Medical Oncology

Role: The Registered Nurse (RN) provides comprehensive patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating treatment plans. They utilize evidence-based practices, technology, and therapeutic interventions while coordinating with the healthcare team.

Responsibilities: Assessing patients’ physical and psychological needs, developing individualized care plans, ensuring quality of care, overseeing LPNs and CNAs, communicating compassionately, participating in team conferences, and adhering to regulatory and hospital guidelines.

Qualifications & Skills: Current RN license, BLS/ACLS certification, graduation from an accredited nursing program, with a requirement to obtain a BSN within four years unless exempted by experience. Must have manual dexterity, physical ability to lift and transfer patients, and effective communication skills. Ability to operate monitors, assess equipment, and navigate busy environments is essential.

Key Duties: Providing direct patient care, documenting accurately, participating in clinical teams, and ensuring compliance with policies. The role involves frequent physical activity, teamwork, and compassionate interaction with patients and families.
