Role Overview:
Provide safe, compassionate, and effective nursing care on med/surg units, utilizing the nursing process for patient planning, implementation, and evaluation. Lead and coordinate care delivery with unlicensed assistive personnel and collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and safety.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Current Illinois RN license
- Graduate of an NLN-accredited nursing program; BSN preferred
- BLS certification and active NIHSS certification
- Minimum two years recent acute care med/surg experience, including telemetry competence
- Ability to demonstrate telemetry skills within 14 days of hire
Key Duties:
- Independently deliver patient-centered care
- Use nursing processes to develop and evaluate care plans
- Supervise and guide assigned staff
- Communicate effectively with healthcare team members
- Contribute to safety and quality improvement initiatives
