Role Overview: This position involves providing specialized nursing care within the Radiology department, supporting imaging and interventional procedures. The RN will perform patient assessments, education, triage, administer medications, and ensure proper documentation. Responsibilities include preparing patients, monitoring responses, assisting with emergency procedures, and collaborating with the healthcare team to deliver patient-centered care.
Key Duties:
- Assess and evaluate patients before, during, and after procedures.
- Administer treatments and medications per protocols.
- Educate patients and families about procedures and care plans.
- Prepare patients by reviewing history, medication lists, and ensuring paperwork is complete.
- Assist with emergency responses, including BLS and ACLS procedures.
- Support patient transport and comfort during imaging and interventional procedures.
- Evaluate lab results and coordinate care activities across the department.
- Provide support for nursing staff and students, and ensure compliance with policies.
Qualifications & Skills: Requires a graduate of a Specialty Training Program in Nursing and at least 1 year of RN experience, with preferred critical care background. Strong assessment, communication, and emergency response skills are essential.
