Registered Nurse – Full Time – Nights

Role Overview: The registered nurse (RN) provides holistic, patient-centered care using evidence-based practices, adhering to ethical and professional standards. The role involves assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care, ensuring safety and quality outcomes.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assessment: Conduct comprehensive evaluations of physical, psychosocial, spiritual, and educational needs, recognizing abnormal data and reporting changes to the team.
  • Diagnosis & Planning: Identify patient problems, develop individualized care plans with measurable goals, and communicate effectively with the team.
  • Implementation: Execute care plans, provide patient and family education, respond to emergencies, and maintain safety and infection control standards.
  • Evaluation: Continuously assess care effectiveness, adjust plans as needed, and ensure continuity during handoffs and transfers.
  • Documentation: Accurately record all care activities, updates, and patient responses in the electronic medical record.
  • Leadership & Professional Development: Demonstrate leadership, mentor peers, participate in quality improvement, and pursue ongoing professional growth and certifications.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Current Ohio RN license and BLS certification; ACLS within 6 months if in ICU/step-down.
  • BSN required within 5 years of hire for nurses hired after January 2010; voluntary BSN for experienced nurses prior to that.
  • Knowledge of age- and culturally-specific care, effective communication, confidentiality, and adaptability to change.
  • Participation in professional organizations, ongoing education, and specialty certifications encouraged.
