Role Overview: The Registered Professional Nurse is responsible for assessing patients’ health alterations, responding to their physical and emotional needs, and implementing nursing interventions based on nursing science and related disciplines. They collaborate with patients and families during assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation to ensure comprehensive care.
Key Responsibilities: Supervising and directing care provided by Licensed Practical Nurses and Unlicensed Assistive Personnel, delegating tasks to qualified team members, coordinating interdisciplinary care, and contributing to a positive work environment. The RN aims to deliver excellent patient care, uphold nursing standards of autonomy and accountability, advocate for patients, and promote innovative, trust-based collaboration.
Qualifications & Skills: Requires a BSN (or obtain one within three years if hired without) and professional nursing board certification (or obtain within two years if applicable). Valid RN license in the state and the ability to delegate and coordinate care effectively are essential. The role does not involve vehicle operation.
