Perioperative Endoscopy Nurse
Provide perioperative nursing care for endoscopy patients, including pre-procedure assessment and preparation, patient and family education, and ongoing monitoring throughout the endoscopy process. Ensure accurate documentation and prompt clinical response to emergencies according to established protocols.
Key responsibilities
- Perform pre-procedure assessments and readiness checks
- Prepare patients and provide clear education to patients and families
- Monitor patients and recognize/report changes in condition
- Maintain complete, accurate nursing documentation
- Respond effectively to emergencies and escalate concerns promptly
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary surgical team to deliver safe, evidence-based, patient-centered care
Qualifications & skills
- Strong perioperative/endoscopy nursing knowledge and clinical judgment
- Ability to monitor, assess, and intervene quickly in critical situations
- Excellent communication skills with patients, families, and the care team
- Sound documentation practices and attention to detail
