Position Overview: A registered nurse provides professional nursing care to assigned patients, utilizing the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation) to deliver high-quality care.
Responsibilities include:
- Supporting hospital standards to foster a cooperative work environment through effective communication and teamwork.
- Assuming responsibility for patient and family education related to care.
- Maintaining a safe, therapeutic environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
- Ensuring accurate, timely documentation of patient information.
- Administering medications and IV therapies safely and accurately.
- Taking initiative for professional growth and development.
- Utilizing the nursing process to ensure quality care throughout the patient episode.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
- Current Basic Life Support certification.
- Valid nursing license in Texas or eligibility to obtain one.
- Minimum of six months RN experience.
