Registered Nurse – Emergency Department

Role: Inpatient Registered Nurse responsible for delivering comprehensive patient care in accordance with nursing standards and state regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care, including treatments, medications, and diagnostic procedures.
  • Conduct assessments and develop individualized care plans in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.
  • Address physical, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual needs of patients and families.
  • Coordinate patient education, discharge planning, and family involvement throughout hospitalization.
  • Evaluate nursing interventions and adjust care plans based on patient responses.
  • Collaborate with physicians, ancillary staff, and other team members to resolve patient needs proactively.
  • Delegate and supervise tasks to team members, promoting teamwork and efficient workflow.
  • Participate in unit-based decision-making, quality improvement, and safety initiatives.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Graduate from a Specialty Training Program in Nursing.
  • Ability to perform assessments, implement care, and evaluate patient outcomes.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
  • Commitment to patient safety, quality care, and continuous improvement.

Additional Details: The role involves working in a high-acuity environment, such as a Level 2 trauma center, with a multidisciplinary team including UDCs, techs, providers, and pharmacists. The position supports professional growth, mentorship, and participation in safety and quality initiatives.
