Role Overview: The Nurse practices independently in a clinical setting, providing routine and complex patient care while managing long-term goals and contingencies. They assign and delegate tasks to care team members to ensure effective patient management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation—for assigned patients.
- Address the psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
- Administer medications and treatments following protocols, monitoring for side effects and effectiveness.
- Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided.
- Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, families, and caregivers, identifying issues and resources.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
- At least 1 year of related nursing experience preferred.
- Current RN license in the state of employment or a compact license.
- BLS certification required.
