The staff nurse provides comprehensive nursing care across all age groups, utilizing nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. They operate within organizational policies, ensuring professional growth and accountability, and coordinate care activities to maintain high-quality standards.
Qualifications include a graduate from an accredited nursing school (Bachelor’s preferred), valid Georgia RN licensure or multistate license, and BCLS certification.
Experience requirements range from new graduates to hospital experience, with additional certifications needed for specialized units (e.g., ACLS, PALS, Chemotherapy/Biotherapy, NICU NRP). For some roles, specific certifications must be obtained within 6 months of start date.
