Registered Nurse – Critical Care Stepdown (Days)

Role: Critical Care Stepdown Registered Nurse (RN) providing patient-centered care for intermediate‑acuity patients transitioning from ICU to Med/Surg.

Responsibilities: Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care using evidence-based practices. Perform accurate hand-offs and bedside shift reports to ensure patient safety. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, administer medications, monitor complex cardiac, respiratory, and post-ICU conditions, and support patient recovery. Participate in huddles, shared governance, and quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN, Diploma, BSN preferred). Current Missouri RN license or compact license. Required BLS certification; ACLS, NIHSS, PCCN, or other Stepdown certifications are preferred.
