Registered Nurse – Childbirth Unit

Role Overview: Provides comprehensive inpatient nursing care, including assessments, treatments, medications, and patient education, within a team-based environment. Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans, evaluates intervention effectiveness, and adjusts care as needed.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct patient care per policies and scope of practice, addressing physical, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual needs.
  • Coordinate discharge planning and family education, ensuring seamless patient transitions.
  • Delegate tasks, promote teamwork, and troubleshoot equipment issues.
  • Participate in quality, safety, and evidence-based practice initiatives, supporting organizational goals.
  • Collaborate with physicians and staff to resolve patient needs proactively and adapt to changing situations.
  • Contribute to unit decision-making and foster a culture of safety and excellence.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Graduate from a specialized nursing training program.
  • Obstetrics experience preferred; cross-training available with provided training.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and call as required.
