Registered Nurse – Cardiac Stepdown Unit

Role: Inpatient Registered Nurse responsible for delivering comprehensive patient care in a clinical setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform assessments, develop, coordinate, and implement individualized care plans adhering to unit standards.
  • Address physical, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual needs of patients and families throughout hospitalization.
  • Provide direct care including treatments, medications, and diagnostic procedures, and evaluate intervention effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary team members, and ancillary staff to meet patient needs.
  • Problem-solve and troubleshoot equipment issues, participate in evidence-based practice decision-making.
  • Contribute to quality and safety initiatives, participate in patient education, and support organizational goals.
  • Ensure patient and family satisfaction through compassionate interactions and coordination of care.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Graduate from a Specialty Training Program in Nursing (required); Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (preferred).
  • Ability to perform assessments, plan, organize, and evaluate nursing activities effectively.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
  • Commitment to safety, quality improvement, and patient-centered care.

Additional Details: The role involves working in a clinical environment with responsibilities including patient assessments, care planning, direct patient care, collaboration, and participation in safety and quality initiatives. The position includes evening, night, and weekend shifts, with a focus on delivering compassionate, high-quality care to promote patient satisfaction and safety.
