Registered Nurse – Cardiac

Role: The Registered Nurse (RN) provides safe, patient-centered care using the nursing process, evaluates care effectiveness, and collaborates with interdisciplinary teams. They uphold patient rights, maintain confidentiality, and adhere to organizational standards.


Responsibilities: Care for cardiac patients on a medical/telemetry floor with a 6:1 patient-to-nurse ratio, including post-op cardiac surgery, TAVRs, Watchmen, and cath-lab intervention patients. Manage medications, monitor serial EKGs, and handle complex cases involving chest tubes and cardiac drips. Evaluate and coordinate patient care, ensuring optimal outcomes.


Qualifications: Must have a nursing degree (ADN, Diploma, BSN), hold a current RN license, and obtain Basic Life Support (BLS). Additional certifications like ACLS, PALS, or specialized unit certifications may be required.


Skills & Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 50 lbs, stand, walk, and perform physical tasks including reaching, bending, and kneeling. Strong communication, assessment, and teamwork skills are essential.
