Role Overview: This position involves providing comprehensive inpatient nursing care, including assessments, treatments, medication administration, and diagnostic procedures, in accordance with standards of care and policies. The RN collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans, addressing physical, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual needs of patients and families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct patient care and coordinate care plans, including patient education and discharge planning.
- Assess patient conditions, document findings, and adjust care strategies accordingly.
- Collaborate with physicians and team members to resolve patient needs proactively.
- Delegate and assign tasks based on team members’ skills and patient acuity.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, evidence-based practice, and safety programs.
- Promote teamwork, troubleshoot equipment issues, and support unit goals and organizational metrics.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Graduate from a Specialty Training Program in Nursing (required).
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and collaboration skills.
- Willingness to learn and grow within a dynamic healthcare environment.
- Ability to work in a clinical setting with a focus on patient safety and quality care.
Additional Details: The role is based in a new advanced acute care unit with private rooms, requiring availability for evening shifts, every other weekend and holiday.
