Registered Nurse – Advanced Acute Care Surgery

Role Overview: This is a full-time Inpatient RN position focused on providing compassionate, high-quality nursing care in a diverse medical-surgical unit.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess, plan, organize, and evaluate nursing activities to meet patient needs.
  • Coordinate patient care, including treatments, medications, and diagnostics, while promoting safety and patient satisfaction.
  • Address physical, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual needs of patients and families.
  • Develop and revise care plans in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, including patient education and discharge planning.
  • Participate in quality, safety, and evidence-based practice initiatives.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and contribute to unit decision-making.
  • Engage as a team member to meet unit and organizational goals, with opportunities for professional growth.
  • Support and mentor colleagues, uphold safety protocols, and participate in community and organizational activities.
  • Qualifications & Skills:

  • Graduate from a Specialty Training Program in Nursing (required).
  • Strong assessment, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work night shifts, every other weekend, and holiday rotations.
  • Self-scheduling flexibility and commitment to quality patient care.
  • Experience or knowledge in medical-surgical and telemetry care is preferred.
  • Key Duties: Provide direct patient care, evaluate intervention effectiveness, collaborate with healthcare teams, and participate in quality improvement and safety initiatives. The role promotes a patient-centered approach and adherence to organizational policies, aiming to deliver optimal patient and family experiences in a supportive environment.
