Registered Nurse – Advanced Acute Care Neurosciences

Role: Inpatient Registered Nurse in a specialized neuroscience unit, providing comprehensive patient care and coordinating interdisciplinary activities.


Responsibilities: Conduct assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans, administer treatments and medications, evaluate intervention effectiveness, and collaborate with healthcare team members. Ensure safety, promote patient and family education, and participate in quality improvement initiatives and safety programs.


Qualifications & Skills: Nursing degree from a specialty training program, compassionate care approach, excellent communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills. Ability to manage diverse medical, surgical, and neurological patient populations, including those requiring continuous EEG monitoring.


Key Duties:

  • Assess patient needs across physical, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual domains.
  • Coordinate and deliver direct patient care, including treatments, diagnostics, and medications.
  • Formulate and revise care plans based on patient responses.
  • Collaborate proactively with physicians and team members to meet patient needs.
  • Participate in decision-making, troubleshoot equipment, and promote evidence-based practices.
  • Engage in patient safety, quality education, and unit-specific metrics to enhance care standards.
