Registered Nurse – Advanced Acute Care Medical Surgical Unit

Role Overview: The Inpatient Registered Nurse provides comprehensive patient care, addressing physical, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual needs. They assess patients, develop and coordinate care plans, deliver treatments, medications, and diagnostic studies, and evaluate intervention effectiveness. Collaborating proactively with interdisciplinary teams, they resolve issues, troubleshoot equipment, and participate in evidence-based practice decisions.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete assessments within scope of practice and unit standards.
  • Formulate and manage individualized care plans, including patient and family education and discharge planning.
  • Provide direct patient care, ensuring safety and quality standards.
  • Engage with physicians and team members to facilitate optimal patient outcomes.
  • Participate in quality, safety, and departmental improvement initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Graduate from a Specialty Training Program in Nursing (required).
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (preferred).
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
  • Commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care.

Work Environment & Additional Details: The role involves clinical duties in a hospital setting, with hours typically from 7p to 7:30a, including every other weekend and holiday shifts. The position emphasizes safety, collaboration, and continuous learning to enhance patient outcomes and staff development.
