Registered Nurse – Advanced Acute Care Medical Surgical Unit

Role Overview: The Inpatient Registered Nurse provides comprehensive patient care, assessing needs, developing and executing individualized care plans, and coordinating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes. Responsibilities include administering treatments, medications, and diagnostic tests, evaluating intervention effectiveness, and proactively resolving patient care issues. The nurse collaborates with physicians and staff, participates in evidence-based practice decisions, and contributes to quality and safety initiatives. They promote compassionate interactions, ensure patient safety, and work towards enhancing the patient and family experience.


Qualifications & Skills:

  • Graduate from a Specialty Training Program in Nursing (required), Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred
  • Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team
  • Commitment to safety, quality improvement, and patient-centered care

Key Duties:

  • Complete assessments and address physical, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual needs
  • Formulate, coordinate, and provide care plans including patient education and discharge planning
  • Administer treatments, medications, and diagnostic studies according to policies
  • Evaluate intervention outcomes and revise care plans accordingly
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to resolve patient needs and troubleshoot equipment
  • Participate in unit decisions, quality, and safety programs to improve care standards
