Role: The Nurse practices independently in a clinical setting, providing routine and complex care while managing long-term goals and contingencies.
Responsibilities:
- Utilizes the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation—for assigned patients.
- Addresses patients’ psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs in accordance with their practice level.
- Administers medications and treatments following protocols, monitoring for side effects and effectiveness.
- Documents patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided.
- Provides education to patients, families, and caregivers, identifying needs and available resources.
- Delegates tasks to care providers to effectively manage clinical situations.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
- At least 1 year of related nursing experience preferred.
- Current RN license in the state of employment or a compact license.
- BLS certification required.
Additional Details: The role involves working full-time during night shifts (7PM – 7AM).
