Role Overview:
This position involves providing independent nursing care in a clinical setting, demonstrating awareness of various aspects of patient situations. The nurse will deliver both routine and complex care, develop long-term care plans, and manage contingencies effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize nursing process for assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation of assigned patients.
- Address psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
- Administer medications and treatments following protocols; monitor for side effects and efficacy.
- Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided.
- Assess education needs and provide appropriate patient and family education, resources, and support.
- Delegate tasks to care team members to ensure optimal patient management.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
- At least 1 year of relevant nursing experience preferred.
- Current RN license in the state of employment or a compact license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
