Registered Nurse – Acute Care Ortho Surgical – Full-Time Night Shift

Role Overview:
The Registered Nurse (RN) in this role provides high-quality, individualized patient care within an interdisciplinary team in an acute care orthopedic surgical setting. They ensure patient safety, advocate for patient needs, and uphold nursing standards in accordance with state laws and professional ethics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation—using evidence-based practice and critical thinking.
  • Deliver patient-centered care tailored to individual and cultural needs, fostering partnerships with patients and families.
  • Coordinate safe care through effective communication, documentation, and teamwork, supporting performance improvement initiatives.
  • Serve as preceptor or mentor to promote a competent, professional nursing workforce.
  • Engage in evidence-based practice, research, and quality improvement activities, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and safety standards.
  • Participate in developing protocols, optimizing resource use, and supporting system-wide care initiatives.

  • Qualifications & Skills:
    • Minimum of 2 years of direct patient care nursing experience.
    • Associates or diploma in nursing; bachelor’s degree preferred.
    • Current RN license (single-state or multi-state compact) and BLS certification required.
    • Strong interpersonal, communication, time-management, and critical thinking skills.
    • Proficient with technology and able to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
