Registered Nurse – Acute Care Ortho Surgical – Full-Time Night Shift

Role Overview: The Registered Nurse (RN) in acute care orthopedics assists in delivering high-quality, safe, patient-centered care within a collaborative interdisciplinary team. They follow evidence-based practices, uphold nursing standards, and ensure compliance with regulatory and ethical guidelines.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive assessments, diagnoses, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care using the nursing process.
  • Provide culturally sensitive, relationship-based care tailored to individual patient needs and involve patients and families in care planning.
  • Coordinate and document safe, quality care through effective communication and teamwork, supporting performance improvement initiatives.
  • Act as a preceptor or mentor, fostering professional growth and ensuring a competent workforce.
  • Promote evidence-based practice, participate in research, and contribute to quality improvement activities.
  • Develop protocols, optimize resource use, and support patient care across the continuum to improve outcomes.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Minimum of 2 years of direct patient care nursing experience.
  • Active RN license (single-state or multi-state compact) and BLS certification.
  • Associate or Diploma in Nursing; Bachelor’s preferred.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, critical thinking, time management, and computer skills.
  • Ability to respond effectively in fast-paced environments and handle emergencies professionally.
