Role Overview: The RN Clinical Nurse provides high-quality, safe, patient-centered care within an interdisciplinary team, supporting the healthcare system’s mission to enhance well-being. They practice in a clinical environment guided by evidence-based standards, professional models, and organizational policies, ensuring adherence to the Georgia Nurse Practice Act and ANA Code of Ethics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive assessments, diagnoses, planning, implementation, and evaluation using clinical judgment and evidence-based practice.
- Deliver relationship-based, culturally sensitive care tailored to patient needs and involve patients and families in care planning.
- Coordinate safe, quality care through effective communication, documentation, and teamwork, including participation in performance improvement initiatives.
- Act as a preceptor/mentor, support professional development, and promote evidence-based research and performance improvement activities.
- Develop protocols, optimize resource use, and ensure compliance with safety standards and policies.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Minimum 5 years RN experience, with direct patient care preferred.
- Licenses: RN license (single or multi-state compact), BLS certification.
- Educational background: Associate or diploma in nursing required; Bachelor’s preferred.
- Strong communication, critical thinking, time management, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to function effectively in a fast-paced environment.
