Role: The RN Clinical Nurse provides high-quality, safe, patient-centered care within a 28-bed med-surg unit, primarily focused on post-surgical patients with some telemetry and general medical-surgical needs. They work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team to ensure individualized care and positive patient outcomes.
Responsibilities: They perform the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation—using evidence-based practices. The nurse partners with patients and families through effective communication, promotes teamwork and collaboration, and actively participates in performance improvement initiatives. They serve as preceptors and support professional development, uphold clinical standards, and contribute to research and evidence-based practice. Additionally, they assist in resource management and protocol development to optimize care quality.
Qualifications & Skills: Requires an active RN license (single or multi-state), BLS certification, and at least 2 years of direct patient care experience. Candidates should have strong interpersonal, communication, critical thinking, and time management skills, with proficiency in technology and a commitment to ethical practice and continuous learning.
