Role Overview: The registered nurse (RN) in this role provides high-quality, safe, patient-centered care within an interdisciplinary team on a cardiac telemetry unit. They practice evidence-based nursing aligned with organizational standards and ethical guidelines, ensuring individualized care that respects cultural diversity and patient preferences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform nursing assessments, diagnoses, planning, implementation, and evaluation using critical thinking and the nursing process.
- Deliver relationship-based, culturally sensitive care, partnering with patients and families to meet their goals.
- Coordinate safe, effective care through interdisciplinary communication, timely documentation, and adherence to clinical standards.
- Participate in performance improvement, research, and evidence-based practices to enhance patient outcomes.
- Support professional development as a preceptor or mentor, and engage in ongoing education and competency assessments.
- Contribute to protocol development and resource management to optimize care delivery and reduce adverse events.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Minimum of 2 years of direct patient care nursing experience.
- Current RN license (single or multi-state compact) and BLS certification.
- Associates or Diploma in Nursing required; Bachelor’s preferred.
- Strong interpersonal, collaboration, time management, and critical thinking skills.
- Proficiency in English, basic computer skills, and ability to function effectively in a fast-paced environment.
