Role Overview: Provides direct inpatient nursing care, assessments, and care planning aligned with unit standards to meet patients’ physical, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual needs. Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate and implement individualized care plans, including treatments, medications, and diagnostic procedures. Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions, revises care plans accordingly, and actively participates in quality, safety, and evidence-based practice initiatives. Acts as a team member to achieve shared goals, ensuring optimal patient and family experiences.
Responsibilities:
- Complete assessments and develop comprehensive care plans.
- Deliver treatments, medications, and diagnostic studies per policies.
- Coordinate discharge planning and patient education.
- Collaborate proactively with physicians and staff to resolve patient needs.
- Engage in problem-solving and equipment troubleshooting.
- Participate in unit-based decision-making and safety programs.
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and organizational safety efforts.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Graduate from a Specialty Training Program in Nursing (required).
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
- Strong assessment, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a clinical environment, adhering to policies and safety standards.
Additional Information: The role involves working in a clinical setting with hours spanning 7p-7:30a, including every other weekend and holiday.
