Under general supervision, performs professional nursing duties for patients in clinical areas.
Responsibilities include administering and documenting medications, responding calmly to emergencies, ensuring patient safety, and adhering to nursing standards.
Performs rounds, coordinates daily activities, and participates in meetings and training.
Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, completion of an accredited nursing program, and current RN licensure in Texas.
Preferred qualifications are an associate’s or higher nursing degree, two years of nursing experience, and certifications such as BLS, ACLS, PALS, and specialty nursing certifications. Basic Life Support (BLS) must be obtained within 90 days of start. Additional preferred credentials include specialty area certifications and advanced life support certifications.
