Regional Support Nurse – Live Well Homecare

Role Overview:
The Regional Support Nurse (Dialysis Nurse Float) provides RN coverage across multiple markets, supporting dialysis units by supervising healthcare teams and ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations. This role involves traveling as needed to cover staffing shortages, leaves, or emergencies, and working collaboratively with physicians and staff to deliver high-quality dialysis care.

Key Responsibilities:

Providing excellent customer service to patients, families, staff, and physicians.

Delivering patient education on renal disease, dialysis therapy, and related health concerns.

Delegating tasks to dialysis technicians and supervising their work.

Monitoring and supervising hemodialysis treatments according to policies and regulations.

Conducting patient assessments, documenting interventions, and evaluating responses.

Ensuring accurate documentation, collecting lab specimens, and interpreting lab results.

Administering medications, maintaining safe operations, and collaborating on care plans.

Qualifications & Skills:
– Nursing license with dialysis experience preferred.
– Strong communication, organizational, and supervisory skills.
– Ability to work independently and travel within assigned regions.
– Knowledge of federal/state regulations and EMR documentation standards.
