Regional Float ED RN (Nights)

Role Overview:

Join the Central Staffing Office as a Regional Float ED Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality, patient-centered emergency care across multiple hospitals within the system. This role involves floating between 11 hospitals in Missouri and Illinois (excluding children’s hospitals).

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct patient care in emergency departments, assessing, diagnosing, and implementing treatment plans based on nursing expertise.
  • Collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, effective, and culturally sensitive care.
  • Utilize evidence-based practices and nursing standards to improve patient outcomes and promote quality and safety.
  • Mentor and serve as a resource for colleagues, fostering a positive work environment.
  • Participate in professional development and adhere to regulatory compliance.
  • Engage in activities supporting patient safety and quality improvement.
  • Work three 12-hour night shifts with flexible start times and rotating weekends and holidays.
  • Support system-wide exposure and growth through structured onboarding and development programs.
  • Qualifications and Skills:
  • Minimum of 2+ years ED RN experience (trauma and float experience preferred).
  • Current RN license in Missouri; ability to obtain Illinois license.
  • Strong adaptability, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Certification in TNCC preferred; ADN, BSN, or MSN accepted.
  • Willingness to travel between facilities.
  • Initial comprehensive training provided.
