Role Overview:
Join a Central Staffing Office as a Regional Float ED Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality, patient-centered emergency care across multiple hospitals in Missouri and Illinois (excluding Children’s Hospital). This role involves floats across 12 hospitals within medical, surgical, and telemetry units, exclusively practicing in the emergency department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, and care planning based on nursing expertise and evidence-based practices.
- Participate in activities promoting patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
- Utilize leadership skills to advocate, coordinate, and collaborate with patients, families, and interprofessional teams.
- Apply clinical knowledge to develop and implement individualized care plans considering diverse human responses.
- Communicate effectively to educate patients and families, fostering informed and compassionate decision-making.
- Promote a positive work environment by mentoring and serving as a role model for colleagues.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Minimum of 2+ years ED RN experience (trauma and float experience preferred).
- Current Missouri RN license; ability to obtain Illinois RN license.
- Strong adaptability, confidence in nursing practice, and commitment to patient care.
- Educational requirements include ADN, BSN, or MSN; TNCC certification preferred.
- Willingness to travel between facilities; participation in initial training required.
