Responsibilities include building, reviewing, submitting, canceling, and forwarding referrals, handling paperwork, faxing, scanning, and making multiple phone calls. The role involves primarily computer-based work with face-to-face patient interactions.
Key Duties:
- Building and reviewing referrals from network providers
- Verifying documentation completeness and accuracy
- Managing referral status, including cancellations and forwarding for review
- Performing paperwork handling, faxing, scanning, and phone communication
- Maintaining compliance with criteria and processing guidelines
Qualifications & Skills:
- High School Diploma/GED
- 2+ years in a health-related field and with Electronic Medical Records or Practice Management Software
- Preferred: 1+ years as a Medical Assistant and bilingual in English/Spanish
- Excellent communication and phone etiquette
