Job Summary
Seeking MRI Technologists responsible for performing magnetic resonance imaging procedures for diagnostic, therapeutic, or research purposes. They acquire and analyze data for interpretation by licensed practitioners, ensuring patient safety and adherence to protocols.
Responsibilities
- Obtain correct order, identify and prepare patients, and document clinical history with confidentiality.
- Utilize appropriate imaging protocols, optimize technical factors, and apply ALARA principles to maximize safety.
- Prepare and administer medications via vascular access under licensed practitioner guidance.
- Evaluate image quality, verify data storage, and perform post-processing as needed.
- Educate and monitor students and healthcare providers, ensuring safety principles are followed.
- Assist with magnetic resonance interventional procedures and perform imaging as prescribed.
- Select pulse sequences considering protocols and data acquisition factors.
- Participate in quality improvement activities and uphold departmental priorities.
Qualifications & Skills
- Certifications from ARRT (MR), ARMRIT, or NMTCB with MR endorsement.
- Graduate of a Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Proficiency in routine and complex MRI duties, strong attention to safety, and commitment to quality care.
