Radiology Technologist – MRI Weekender Nights

Role Overview: MRI Technologists utilize radiofrequency within a magnetic field for diagnostic, therapeutic, or research purposes. They perform MRI procedures, acquire and analyze data for diagnosis, and assist licensed practitioners. They prepare, administer, and document medication activities in compliance with laws and policies.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Obtain correct patient information, ensure proper identification, and prepare patients for exams while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Use appropriate imaging protocols, optimize technical factors, and prioritize patient safety following ALARA principles.
  • Administer medications via vascular access as prescribed, evaluate image quality, and manage data storage and transfer.
  • Educate and monitor students and healthcare providers, apply safety principles, and assist with interventional procedures.
  • Select suitable pulse sequences, demonstrate proficiency in routine and complex duties, and contribute to quality improvement activities.

Qualifications & Skills: Certifications from ARRT-MR, ARMRIT, or NMTCB-MR are required. Education includes completion of a Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology, with a preference for a related Bachelor’s degree.
