Role: MRI Technologist responsible for performing magnetic resonance imaging procedures for diagnostic, therapeutic, or research purposes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Obtain correct orders, ensure patient identification, and prepare patients for exams while maintaining confidentiality.
- Utilize appropriate imaging protocols, optimize technical factors, and apply ALARA principles to maximize safety and image quality.
- Prepare and administer medications through vascular access as prescribed, documenting activities per laws and policies.
- Evaluate images for quality, proper positioning, and ensure data is stored or transferred correctly.
- Educate and monitor students and healthcare providers, and assist with magnetic resonance interventions.
- Select pulse sequences based on protocols, perform imaging procedures, and adhere to safety standards.
- Participate in quality improvement activities and demonstrate proficiency in routine and complex duties.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Certifications: ARRT and (ARRT)-MR, ARMRIT, or NMTCB with (ARRT)-MR or ARMRIT.
- Education: Graduate of a Radiologic Technology specialty program; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Strong knowledge of MRI safety, technical imaging principles, and patient care.
- Ability to work independently, educate others, and participate in quality initiatives.
