Role: MRI Technologist I, with potential to advance to MRI Technologist II based on skills and experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform and assist with magnetic resonance imaging procedures, ensuring correct patient identification, preparation, and documentation.
- Utilize appropriate imaging protocols, optimize technical factors, and ensure patient safety following ALARA principles.
- Evaluate images for quality, verify data transfer, and assist with magnetic resonance interventional procedures.
- Prepare, administer, and document medications as prescribed, adhering to legal and institutional policies.
- Educate and monitor students and healthcare providers, applying MRI safety protocols to minimize risks.
- Select suitable pulse sequences and participate in MRI safety implant investigations and approvals.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Certification from ARRT, NMTCB, ARMRIT, or equivalent is required; new graduates must obtain certification prior to employment.
- Graduation from a Radiologic Technology training program; a bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.
- Knowledge of MRI safety, protocols, and data acquisition principles.
