Radiology Technologist – MRI (Part-Time, 3×12 Shifts)

Role Overview

This position involves performing diagnostic imaging procedures, primarily MRI, in an operating room setting, with a focus on advanced modality techniques. The technologist will prepare patients and equipment, perform studies independently, and oversee shift operations, including workflow and resource management.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients and equipment for imaging procedures.
  • Perform studies independently, including portable and on-call exams.
  • Manage daily shift operations, adjust priorities, and escalate technical issues.
  • Serve as a clinical resource and mentor for staff and students.
  • Assist in troubleshooting, problem-solving, and maintaining supplies.
  • Delegates tasks and assumes supervisory responsibilities in absence.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Associate degree or higher in a related field.
  • Certification as a Registered Technologist (R.T.(R))) in Radiography or relevant advanced modality certifications.
  • 2-5 years of radiology experience; preferred 5-10 years.
  • Licenses such as IEMA (excluding MRI), ARRT, BD, CI, VI, and others.
  • Experience with MRI machines, especially Siemens MRI technology.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and mentorship skills.

Key Duties & Requirements

  • No call responsibilities.
  • Day shift training followed by a rotating schedule, with full-time hours.
  • Provides quality control, assists with complex exams, and acts as a liaison between team and supervisor.
  • Minimum of an associate degree and relevant certifications required.
  • Additional certifications and experience preferred for advanced roles.
