Radiology Technologist MRI – Nights

Role Overview: MRI Technologists perform diagnostic imaging using magnetic resonance technology, independently or assisting licensed practitioners. They ensure proper patient identification, prepare patients, and follow safety protocols to optimize image quality and safety.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Obtain correct imaging orders, verify clinical history, and ensure patient confidentiality.
  • Utilize appropriate imaging protocols, applying ALARA principles to minimize risk.
  • Prepare and administer medications via vascular access as prescribed.
  • Evaluate images for quality, proper positioning, and transfer data securely.
  • Educate and monitor students and healthcare team members.
  • Apply safety principles to reduce risks to patients, staff, and self.
  • Assist with magnetic resonance interventions and perform prescribed MRI procedures.
  • Select suitable pulse sequences considering protocols and data acquisition factors.
  • Participate in quality improvement activities and demonstrate proficiency in all duties.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Certifications by ARRT, ARMRIT, or NMTCB with MR specialization.
  • Graduate of a Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Proficiency in routine and complex MRI tasks.
  • Strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous learning.
