Radiology Technologist MRI Nights

Role Overview: MRI Technologists utilize radiofrequencies within a magnetic field to perform diagnostic, therapeutic, or research imaging. They independently conduct MRI procedures, prepare and administer medications, and analyze data for diagnosis under a licensed practitioner’s guidance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure proper patient identification, preparation, and clinical history documentation while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Utilize appropriate imaging protocols, optimize technical factors, and apply ALARA principles to maximize safety and image quality.
  • Prepare, administer, and document medications as prescribed, evaluate image quality, and verify data storage and transfer.
  • Educate and monitor students and healthcare providers, applying MRI safety principles to minimize risks.
  • Assist with MRI interventional procedures and select suitable pulse sequences based on protocols.
  • Participate in quality improvement activities and demonstrate proficiency in routine and complex duties.

Qualifications & Skills: Certifications from ARRT, ARMRIT, or NMTCB with MRI endorsement are required. A graduate from a radiologic technology program is necessary, with a bachelor’s degree preferred. Strong attention to safety, technical expertise, and the ability to work independently are essential.
