Radiology Technologist MRI – Evening Shift

Role Overview: MRI Technologists perform diagnostic imaging using magnetic resonance technology, independently or assisting licensed practitioners. They prepare patients, ensure proper identification, and optimize imaging protocols to maximize safety and image quality while applying ALARA principles.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Obtain correct orders, prepare patients, and document clinical history securely.
  • Perform and evaluate MRI procedures, ensuring proper positioning and image quality.
  • Administer medications and contrast agents as prescribed, following legal guidelines.
  • Assist in MRI interventional procedures and support the training of students and healthcare providers.
  • Apply MRI safety protocols, participate in safety investigations, and minimize risks to patients and staff.
  • Select appropriate pulse sequences and ensure proper data acquisition and transfer.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Certification from ARRT, NMTCB, ARMRIT, or equivalent is required; new graduates must obtain certification prior to employment.
  • Graduation from a Radiologic Technology program; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
  • Knowledge of MRI safety, procedures, and patient care is essential.
