Radiology Technologist MRI – Evening Shift

Role Overview: MRI Technologists utilize radiofrequencies within magnetic fields for diagnostic, therapeutic, or research purposes. They perform and assist with magnetic resonance imaging procedures, acquire and analyze data for diagnosis, and ensure patient safety and confidentiality.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Obtain correct orders, properly identify and prepare patients, and document clinical history.
  • Use appropriate imaging protocols, optimize technical factors, and apply ALARA principles to maximize safety.
  • Prepare and administer medications as prescribed, evaluate image quality, and verify data transfer and storage.
  • Educate and monitor students and healthcare providers, and assist with interventional procedures.
  • Select pulse sequences considering protocols and data acquisition factors, and ensure MRI safety standards are followed.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Certifications such as ARRT, NMTCB, or ARMRIT are required upon hire; new graduates must obtain appropriate registry before employment.
  • Experience in radiologic technology or related field preferred.
  • Knowledge of MRI safety, imaging protocols, and patient care best practices.

This role is performed in a clinical environment, requiring adherence to policies and ongoing competency development.
