Role Overview: Provides and evaluates mammographic and general radiological procedures, ensuring high-quality patient care and satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operates all mammography units independently and performs screening, diagnostic, and special imaging exams.
- Produces quality images through proper positioning, compression, and selecting appropriate factors.
- Prepares exam rooms and assists radiologists during procedures.
- Prepares patients by explaining procedures and addressing concerns.
- Ensures equipment functionality, reports malfunctions, and maintains quality control standards.
- Documents results, develops films consistently, and maintains darkroom integrity.
- Participates in training of students and new staff, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Maintains cleanliness and proper documentation of manuals, supporting annual inspections.
Qualifications & Skills: Graduate of Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology (required); Bachelor’s degree in a related field (preferred). Strong understanding of mammography procedures, attention to detail, and adherence to safety and quality standards are essential.
