Role Overview: Performs CT scans and procedures applying ionizing radiation, ensuring accurate positioning, protocol adherence, and timely completion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify patients, communicate with healthcare team, and obtain necessary clinical information.
- Prepare and maintain a clean, stocked, and organized imaging room.
- Explain procedures to patients, obtain consent, and ensure patient comfort.
- Operate imaging equipment, including 3D and multiplanar reconstruction, following radiologist protocols.
- Administer IV contrast using proper techniques, monitor equipment, and respond to emergencies.
- Archive images, verify studies, and document procedures accurately.
- Assist with training colleagues and students, and perform point-of-care testing as needed.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Graduate of accredited Radiologic Technology program and ARRT registered in CT.
- CPR certification; SCRQSA certification if applicable.
- Knowledge of imaging protocols, anatomy, and pathology.
- Excellent customer service, basic computer, and data entry skills.
- Preferred: 3D imaging expertise.
