Role Overview:
This position is for a PRN Radiology Technologist responsible for performing general diagnostic imaging procedures on adult and pediatric patients, including in-house, ER, and OR settings. The technologist prepares patients and equipment, conducts radiographic examinations independently, and handles portable exams and emergency room tasks using Siemens, Samsung, and Carestream equipment. The role may involve occasional work in the Operating Room and emergency department, with a focus on high-quality patient care and professionalism.
Responsibilities include:
- Preparing patients and equipment, providing clear instructions with excellent customer service
- Performing radiographic procedures independently and in on-call situations
- Handling portable exams and other departmental tasks
- Working in emergency and surgical environments with advanced imaging technology
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate degree or higher in Radiologic Technology or related field
- Certification as a Registered Technologist in Radiography (R.T.(R))) and ARRT registration
- Licenses, such as IEMA (excluding MRI) for Illinois, and CPR certification preferred
- Experience in radiologic procedures; two years preferred
- Ability to work independently, demonstrate professionalism, and provide quality patient care
