Role Overview:
The Radiology Technologist performs general imaging procedures to assist in diagnosis and treatment, ensuring high-quality, timely, and compassionate patient care. Responsibilities include preparing patients and equipment, explaining procedures, and independently conducting radiographic exams, including portable and on-call procedures, while maintaining professionalism and excellent customer service.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Associate degree or trade school certification in radiologic technology
- Radiology Technologist registration
- Optional experience: up to 2 years preferred
- Licenses & Certifications: IEMA (Illinois only, excluding MRI), CPR (preferred)
Key Duties:
- Prepare patients and equipment, inform patients about procedures
- Perform radiographic exams independently, including portable and on-call procedures
