Key responsibilities include:
- Performing radiology procedures accurately and efficiently following established standards.
- Initiating appropriate interventions when immediate attention is required.
- Reviewing exam indications and reporting inappropriate requests.
- Providing complete and accurate exam data for radiologist interpretation.
- Utilizing computer systems such as PACS, RIS, HIS, and EMR, and managing image storage and retrieval.
- Maintaining compliance with safety, quality, infection control, and legal standards.
- Mentoring staff and students during training and clinical rotations.
- Assisting with record keeping and ensuring adherence to accreditation and regulatory standards.
Qualifications and skills:
- Associate’s degree or certificate from an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- ARRT Certification (or within 60 days of hire).
- Strong communication skills, visual acuity, and ability to work effectively in a team.
- Ability to adhere to safety principles and maintain confidentiality.
