Role: The Staff Radiation Therapist applies ionizing radiation to patients in the Radiation Oncology Department, following physician prescriptions and safety protocols.
Responsibilities: Deliver precise therapy, perform patient assessments, document in EMR, educate patients and families, follow safety procedures, manage patient mobility, and simulate treatment setups accurately. Participate in quality control, assist with additional tasks, and contribute as a clinical instructor for students.
Qualifications & Skills: Requires an Associate’s Degree from an accredited Radiation Therapy program, ARRT Radiation Therapy certification, and BLS certification. Minimum two years of radiation therapy experience is preferred. Must demonstrate the ability to treat and simulate patients effectively, adhere to safety standards, and work collaboratively.
