Role: Staff Radiation Therapist in the Radiation Oncology Department, responsible for delivering precise ionizing radiation treatments following physician prescriptions.
Responsibilities: Operate radiation equipment safely, perform complex technical procedures, participate in quality control, assess and care for patients across all ages, document accurately in EMR, educate patients and families, ensure safety protocols, simulate patient setups, manage patient mobility and scheduling, and participate in on-call rotations. Additionally, contribute as a clinical instructor for students and adhere to organizational policies and standards.
Qualifications & Skills: Minimum of 2 years radiation therapy experience preferred, graduate of an accredited radiation therapy program, certification in ARRT-T and BLS, and demonstrated ability to treat and simulate patients. Strong technical skills, attention to safety, and excellent patient assessment are essential.
