Role Overview: This position involves performing patient treatments using ionizing radiation under the supervision of a Radiation Oncologist. The role includes preparing patients and charts, delivering accurate treatments, completing treatment processes, and coordinating scheduling. It offers opportunities for cross-training and utilizing advanced radiation therapy technologies, including HDR treatments and imaging techniques.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients and charts prior to procedures
- Administer precise and consistent radiation treatments
- Complete treatments and coordinate patient scheduling
- Assist physicians with procedures and prepare supplies
- Administer radiopharmaceutical treatments and provide patient education
- Utilize advanced treatment techniques and imaging technologies
Qualifications & Skills:
- Completed an accredited Radiation Therapy program
- Board Certified by ARRT (RT(T))
- High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- 2-5 years of experience preferred
