Psychiatrist (Homeless Services)

The Attending Psychiatrist for Homeless Services provides outreach-based psychiatric evaluation, treatment, and consultation for individuals experiencing homelessness with serious mental illness.

They work in shelters, Safe Havens, on the streets, and community settings to engage homeless individuals, facilitate access to care, and ensure continuity of psychiatric services.

Responsibilities include conducting clinical assessments, developing treatment plans, and supporting systems navigation and eligibility determination for DMH services.

The role involves collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, supervision of psychiatric residents, and participation in program development and interagency partnerships.

Qualifications include a current medical license, board eligibility in Psychiatry, experience with homeless populations, and DEA certification.

The position offers a competitive salary of $229,528–$235,000 annually, Monday–Friday, with opportunities for academic appointment and supervision, located in the Longwood Medical Area.
